Boxwood offers anglers the chance to catch rainbow, brook, brown, cutthroat, and cuttbow trout, along with the opportunity to fish to a few rare palomino trout (albino rainbow trout). Boxwood also features the famous bridge hole, an area of the river that holds several trout over 5 pounds. These feisty fish will typically make your reel scream as they attempt to run downstream through the rapids. The property fishes well year round with the best dry fly fishing from April through September. The North Fork experiences an awesome Green Drake hatch (size 10-12 dry fly imitations) throughout July while stimulators, chernobyl ants, and hoppers work well June through September.
