Many large rainbow and brown trout inhabit this section of the river. A 9 pound rainbow was landed in the lower section of the river last year. The upper section of the river offers small stream fishing at its finest. Recent stream improvements have increased the fish holding capacity as well as the quality of the stream. As a result, rainbows and browns are prevalent up to 20 inches. Bring your 3 or 4 weight and see if you can coax one of these big trout up to the surface from underneath overhanging willows.  Anglers will be pleasantly surprised with the size and quantity of fish for such a small stream.
