Kay DuShane

Kay DuShane, a Colorado Fly Fishing Guide, has been fly fishing the waters of Colorado and the Rocky  Mountain west for many years.  Her good fortune allows her to fly fish  twelve months a year in Colorado.  In addition to fly fishing her home  waters, including Cheesman and other stretches of the South Platte near Deckers Colorado,
Kay ventures on a yearly road trip to the northern Rockies of Idaho,  Wyoming, Montana, and British Columbia, to find native trout in waters off the beaten path.

Kay also spends significant time chasing salt water species.  Her  favorite haunts include the Bahamas and the Yucatan Peninsula of  Mexico.  Whether hunting Bonefish, Tarpon, Snook, Jacks or Roosters, her enthusiasm for saltwater targets is as contagious as it is when fishing for trout.  She has recently begun hosting fly fishing trips in the Bahamas.

Kay began guiding professionally in 2001, and enjoys helping others  experience the joys of catching fish on flies.  Living in the  mountains, she always is ready to share the beauty and joy offered by Colorado’s rivers.
